05/2019 – Current. Consulting Geologist Mineral evaluation to determine type, quality and estimates of mineral(s) in an area; mine planning, outcrop sampling, field mapping utilizing ArcMap and GPS, outcrop sampling, core sampling and analysis, writing geology reports.
07/2017 – 05/2019. Wyoming Bentonite: Mining Geologist: Oversee geology, drilling and mining operations. Including field mapping, outcrop sampling, delineation, pit planning, quantity and quality estimates.
08/2009 – 06/2017: Goolsby, Finley and Associates. Consulting Geologist for coalbed methane and oil & gas wells, with an emphasis on horizontal drilling and geosteering. I have working experience in the following basins. Extensive experience in the Permian / Delaware in Texas and New Mexico. Powder River, Wind River, Bison, Bighorn, Denver-Julesburg; all in Wyoming. Bakken in North Dakota. Oversee drilling, landing and lateral operations. I managed mudloggers and worked with office geologists. For coalbed methane, I oversaw several rigs at one time, including both 24-hour and 12-hour rigs.
08/09 to 08/10. Cameco Resources Smith Ranch-Highland / North Butte ISR. Staff Geologist. Duties included well field planning, supervision of delineation drilling, analyze drill cuttings, log and core analysis, planning and supervision of production drilling, pick depths for casing & screens, mapping of ore bodies, some GT calculations, GPS surveying of surface spills, verify proper plugging and reclamation of drill sites within working well fields.
10/07 to 08/2008. Wildhorse Energy. Field Geologist. Duties include field mapping, data processing, well sitting, analyze drill cuttings, pick depths for casing & screens related to environmental monitoring wells, coordinated drilling and completion of wells, supervised installation of wellhead protectors and other duties, as required.
9/06 to 9/07. Uranium Energy Corp. Geotech. Uranium data analysis from various sources, including public records and hard copy logs. Project creation and management.
