Sprague, WA
Stopped at a pretty place tonight. The rest area in Sprague WA, a nice woman was volunteering there giving free coffee and she was telling me how pretty the sunsets are over the lake. I went for about a 2 mile hike up to the top of a nearby hill to snap a few pictures. One of the cool things about this area is in is part of the channeled scablands created by Lake Missoula in the Pleistocene Megaflood event. Nice paper: ” http://ice.tsu.ru/files/paul/Baker_-_Review.pdf “. Basically follows interstate 90 from Missoula, MT to the ocean thru the Columbia River Gorge.
