Here’s a quick update. You may have noticed I haven’t posted much lately. I’ve hit a bit of a snag. I stopped driving over the road due to a number of things. First, I felt compelled by the Lord to try to make my geology degree work again. Second, I was no longer making enough money to justify being gone for three months at a time. Finally, after discussing it with my family, we decide I should try something a little closer to home and away from the insanity of the middle and eastern states.
Which brings me to this post. First of all, to any and all, I need more geology work. I have some work and am enjoying it immensely. Mostly, I have been concentrating on minerals and field mapping. If you know of anything or anyone needing help, please let me know.
The second part if this is my boat project. As some of you may know, I have been building a 18.5’ sailboat with the intention of sailing as many lakes as I can near home. I have run into a funding hurdle and I’m hoping some of you can help. At the suggestion of some of my loyal minions, I have started a GoFundMe page. I am looking to get $10,000 to buy supplies to finish the boat. It seems like a lot but with the crowd sharing model I’m hoping to get some help. I have several large items to buy soon. At this point, the ballast will cost around $3500 to cast. The sails will be about $2000. The epoxy to finish will be about $1800. I haven’t yet priced the rest of the materials or the trailer.
I would really appreciate any help you can give and reposting my request would be a great help.
Finally, even if you are not able to help, I am hoping some of you will be able to come to Wyoming and sail when I have the boat finished.
Thanks
