These last few weeks have been pretty hectic good, but hectic. I have bounced from Wyoming to eastern Washington to Minnesota to Iowa to Colorado to Idaho. Then back to Mn to do it all over again. I was lucky enough to pass through home twice for 34 hour breaks. My last set of loads started in Iowa with 2 drops in Montana. My last drop was in Kalispell which I haven’t been to before. In the midst of all this running around I had a really pretty morning in Kalispell and the presence of mind to snap a couple of pictures.

Morning in Kalispell.
Just finished delivery.

Then I had a really long day, way too long. I drove to Quincy WA to get loaded then head back towards MN again. I missed the turn to the first place I wanted to stop for the night the next couple were full which left me exhausted and driving another 50 miles to a rest area I have stopped at before. As I drove, I prayed there would be just one spot for me to park I pulled in at a crawl, but it looked packed. As I crept down towards the end of the lot, to my delight there was just one spot. Sometimes I feel silly praying for something as seemingly insignificant as a parking spot but my lovely, ever patient wife reminds me it is a big thing for me as it means a safe nights sleep and a clean restroom. I mentioned that I liked the little lake by this rest area she asked if I would have a good view in the morning. I snapped some of my view. There was a 5-minute sunrise before the sun went above the day long cloud cover. I was fortunate enough to wake in time to see it.

Looking East Sprague Rest Area.
Enjoying the view.
Looking South
Looking Southwest at the lake.

Days like this I feel like the Lord reminds me to look at  the little things and the powerful beauty in them.
